Dawson-Boyd School
Administration
Brad Madsen is currently the superintendent of Dawson-Boyd Schools. Mr. Madsen holds a bachelor's of arts in Biological Science and Education, a master's degree in Education Administration, and a specialist's degree in Education Administration. He, during his career, has served five years as a teacher, three years as a high school principal, and seventeen years as a superintendent. Mr. Madsen believes that a big advantage in our rural school is the great opportunity for involvement. Students can take the classes that they need or want. Rural schools are safe and there is a greater sense of community within the area. However, the challenge caused by unstable student enrollments is one that faces most rural schools, including Dawson-Boyd. Mr. Madsen believes that Dawson is a bright, progressive community. His goals are to see the community center project completed and to see Dawson remain progressive and a great place to live.
